Employee Values in Action: Meet our 2018 Award Winners!

We recently returned from our Company Retreat at Suncadia Resort in Cle Elum, WA. We spent two days kicking off 2019 looking back on our successes in 2018, goal setting for this upcoming year, and participating in fun activities with our colleagues.

At Whitepages, we have a set of Company Core Values that reminds us what it means to be a Whitepager. While everyone contributes and represents our values each day, we’d like to recognize our colleagues that went above and beyond to exemplify them in 2018:

SERVEWhat we do, we do to serve our customers, striving every day to make their lives a little better than they were yesterday.

Steven, Manager, Customer Experience

“From working with our Customer Service team in Jamaica to prioritizing customer feedback from our mobile application, Steven encompasses our Serve value by keeping our customer experience a focal point.”

OWN ITWe hold each other and ourselves accountable for delivering on commitments with the highest level of quality. When the dust settles, we share in success, own up to failure, and either way, commit to improve next time.

Máté, Team Lead, Software Engineering

Máté works out of our Budapest office and leads our Software Engineering team. While working remote for many is difficult, Máté embodies our Own It value by supporting and executing alongside his Seattle team successfully and playing a vital role in our Databricks migration.

LEADWe show up with a point of view, listen to the opinions of others, engage in open discussion, disagree when we must, and commit ourselves entirely when the decision is made.

Dan, Sales Account Executive

“As a part of our Sales team, Dan focuses on driving meetings with potential customers. Dan exemplifies our Lead value by getting in front of our customers, engaging and listening to our customers’ needs.”

INVENTWe live for the challenge of doing what has yet to be done. Where others see obstacles, we find the opportunity to create the extraordinary.

Mike, Solutions Architect

“Mike is a part of our Solutions Architect team that works closely with our customers Whitepages Pro. Mike’s ability to discover business problems and explore potential solutions is why he’s recognized as our Whitepager that personifies our Invent value.”

DOWe are doers, not observers or managers. Our yardstick for progress is what gets done.

Dora, University Recruiting Coordinator

“Originally [hired] to manage University Recruiting, Dora has taken on many other roles including corporate branding, marketing, and working with our CEO and CFO. Dora epitomizes our value Do by doing what needs to get done, whatever the task at hand may be.”
