This involves a comprehensive anti-displacement initiative with objectives such as short-term and emergency solutions for residents facing evictions, renters’ rights programs, and education, property tax relief for affordable housing properties, and funding options for legacy business.

Fair Housing Laws provide protection against discrimination in housing transactions. The City of Atlanta ordinance (Atlanta GA Code Pt. II, Chap. 94) prohibits discrimination against any person in Atlanta on the bases of race, color, national origin, religion, gender/sex, familial status, physical disability, mental disabilities, HIV or AIDS. In Atlanta, this protection is extended to age, domestic relationship status, parental status, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
