Add Cell Phone Listing / Receive Text Messages

How it Works

WhitePages.com users can add their cell phone number to allow people to contact them directly or through private text messages (also know as SMS: Short Message Service).

You can add your cell phone number or choose to receive text messages to WhitePages.com by following these instructions:

1. Select the Home tab in the main navigation and click the "Add Cell Number" link in the secondary navigation.
2. Click the "Get Started" button on the Add Cell Number product page.
3. If you choose to receive text messages, you must follow the instructions on the confirmation page and on the text message you will receive from lookup (566587) in order to publish your listing to WhitePages.com.

To contact someone using our cell phone text messaging service, search for the person on www.WhitePages.com. If they have text messaging enabled, a link to "send text message" will appear in the person's listing. Simply click on the link and fill out the form to send a text message.

Messaging Fees

Standard or other charges may apply from your wireless provider.

Opt-out

To stop receiving text messages (when applicable) and remove your cell phone listing from our site, you can opt-out from receiving future messages by replying to a message sent through the message service with the word "STOP". When you reply with STOP, your entire listing will be removed from WhitePages.com and you will no longer receive text messages sent from WhitePages.com.

When you send the word STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, and STOP ALL to "lookup", you will receive the following message:

This confirms your listing has been permanently removed from WhitePages.com and you will not receive any additional text messages. Reply HELP for assistance.
